Judo @ Y-West
What is Judo?
Judo is a sport which includes a number of throwing and hold-down
Techniques that develops a strong body character whilst enjoying working with others under the supervision of a qualified coach.
The first few classes
The first few lessons are designed to be basic introduction classes where the children will learn how to fall safely, and learn basic rolls and tumbles, throws and other exercises. As the term progresses, children advance through a syllabus specially designed for their age.
What to wear?
Shorts, t-shirt and bare feet will be fine for the first few weeks, however after this trial period a judo suit will be needed.
Registrations & Gradings
Registrations and gradings are handled through the appropriate associations and details of these will be given to each child as they become ready. All grading and competitions are optional and are merely a means of achieving long term participations in Martial Arts.
